Forget the power drill. Time is the busy tradie’s ultimate tool. So we made Toolstation the place for everything they need at speed. With emails that are faster to read. Products that are faster to buy. An app that’s faster to use. And - as a result – customers that are faster to love the brand.

Promising faster.

For Toolstation’s hard-working, small business customer base, time is money. Running out of 45mm crosshead screws halfway through a job is money. And waiting an hour for new ones to arrive is definitely money.

So Toolstation’s promise to them is a simple one: speed.

The speed they need to stay on-site, fully equipped and working for more minutes of the day.

Less time searching for items. Less time held up off-site. Less time waiting for deliveries. Less time wasted full stop.

And delivering it.

This was not a one-off campaign, but a promise: Toolstation needed to be lightning fast everywhere the brand touched.

So we helped customers bypass Toolstation’s brick of a catalogue (ironic, really) to shop faster – using QR codes personalised to their past shopping habits. This alone got them shopping 10% more often.

Then, we asked the nation to ‘Witness the Quickness’ of the new Toolstation app, boosting the speed (and convenience) of buying everyday items. And boosting app orders by a whopping 255%.

But speed was in the details too, not just the headlines. So we honed their everyday emails to be faster, sharper and more fit for purpose - giving back more precious minutes to be spent outside the inbox.
